Ram Trucks was formed in 2009 as a manufacturer of light to mid-size pickup trucks under the Chrysler Group. This effort is designed to market Ram vehicles to “real truck customers”, rather than those individuals who purchase pickups for image or style. Although Ram Trucks has only recently become a standalone division, it has a long and storied legacy as part of the Dodge family of vehicles. It was a Dodge Ram that was the basis of the iconic military ambulance of World War II and Korea. The company’s ram hood ornament is a throwback to the one that adorned Dodge vehicles in the 1930s.

While paying homage to the toughness of its predecessors, Ram Trucks continues to innovate with multi-link coil spring rear suspension, the latest in-cabin technology and numerous safety features. As a result of this commitment to excellence, Ram Trucks received the 2010 Truck of the Year award from Motor Trend magazine.

From its manufacturing facilities in Mexico and Michigan, Ram offers a variety of pickup truck models and commercial vehicles.
