One of America’s most distinctive automobile brands is Lincoln, founded in 1915 by Mr. Henry M. Leland. The brand’s name is unique because its founder chose not to name it after himself, but rather after one of his biggest heros, Abraham Lincoln. After severe financial issues forced the Lincoln company into bankruptcy in the 1920′s, the brand was purchased by the Ford Motor Company and to this day remains one of the company’s most iconic branches.

Lincoln automobiles, which are manufactured, marketed and sold mainly in North America, have long represented the American auto ideal of superb quality combined with luxury design. Over the years Lincoln has produced several highly successful models, but some of the most memorable include the Lincoln-Zephyr, the Continental and the Town-car. Each of these models has its own unique personality, but all have much to offer the consumer who is looking for spacious, comfortable driving and an unapologetic sense of high-class style.

Because of Lincoln’s superior automobile design, it has been the presidential limousine of choice for almost as long as the brand as been in existence. Its popularity with the presidential office is largely due to its great reliability, but even if you are not the President of the United States, Lincoln is still one of the most trustworthy automakers out there.
