Ferruccio Lamborghini built upon his experience as an aircraft engine mechanic during World War II to create a thriving tractor business after the war. His love of high performance sports cars and the desire to build a better vehicle inspired him to create Automobili Lamborghini in 1963. He built a state-of-the-art production facility and hired noted engineer Giotto Bizzarrini. Lamborghini’s early vehicles the 350GT and 400GT were successful, but it was the release of the mid-engine Miura that vaulted the company to worldwide acclaim.

Over the years, the company has experienced financial hardship and multiple changes of ownership. Despite this, Lamborghini continued to produce exotic, mid-engine sports cars such as the Countach, the four-seat Espada, the iconic Diablo, 200-mph Murcielago and breathtaking Gallardo models. Due to its engineering excellence, the company provided engines for numerous racing teams, including Formula One cars. Lamborghini concept cars include the four-door Estoque. This will be the first sedan ever manufactured in the historic Sant’Agata factory.

Lamborghini’s current lineup is a continuation of the founder’s uncompromising commitment to design and technology. Due to its unmistakable Italian design and brand value, Lamborghini is unrivaled in the world of automobile super sports cars.
