Ferrari
Enzo Ferrari created an organization of amateur racecar drivers in 1928. This group, Scuderia Ferrari, was the genesis of the current automobile manufacturer that symbolizes high dollar, high speed automobiles. The company’s prancing horse emblem was first painted on the fuselage of a heroic Italian pilot. The pilot’s mother granted Ferrari permission to use the symbol as a good luck charm.
Ferrari emerged from the ravages of World War II to win multiple racing titles in the 1950s and 1960s. During this time the company began implementing what it learned in the racing world to create remarkable road cars, such as the 275 GTB and the Dino 246 GT, named in honor of his deceased son. The company has since introduced one of the most famous supercars of all time, the F40, the iconic Testarossa and most recently the Enzo Ferrari supercar, named in honor of the company founder. Whether a new model, an older classic or a one-off special, Ferraris are in high demand by those who can afford these top of the line vehicles.
Today, the company sits atop the leader board in high-performance sports cars with models such as the Enzo, the F430 and 458 Italia.
